Organic black beans and short-grain brown rice tacos

I came home from the pub with a severe case of the munchies. Rob offered me some (more) Jameson, but i was too hungry. I had to dodge empty water bottles he was throwing at me for fun whilst i cooked this.




The payoff was worth it. No tortillas come close to the quality of these fresh Central Market flour tortillas.

New york strip steaks







Rob said he had been wanting steaks. He bought these two (approx.) 19 ounce New York strip steaks. I seared them on each side and finished them in the broiler with some butter. I also sauteed some fresh green beans.

The only seasonings on the steak were salt and fresh cracked black pepper.

Skillet fried shrimp


Rob said he had recently eaten some rubbery, tasteless shrimp from a local Mexican restaurant, so I decided to have a go at cooking some up.

A little flour, some egg wash, and Chef Paul Prudhomme Seafood Magic Seasoning Blend. I really like all his seasonings.

On organic long-grain white rice.
